“Harry” was licensed by the Verband der Pony Hannover at their October Korung, in Verden and then later by the BWBS & SPSS in 2013.

“Harry” is a beautiful pony, full up 148cm. He is a fabulous modern athletic type with three amazing paces. A powerful hindleg, an amazing walk, uphill, balanced canter, combined with a powerful elevated trot. His incredible temperament, rideability and trainability, makes him a sure bet for breeders of strong, athletic young stock for all three disciplines. Harry has been very successful competing and scoring over 70% at Medium level.

He has been handled and ridden by young girls from 8 years upwards, including  Ella Glennon (then aged 11/12), who successfully campaigned him for the BD High Performance and Area Festivals in 2019, as well as the BD Under 21 Championships in 2020.

If you are looking for a stallion for your mare with beauty, charm, personality and ability, he has it all and more.

Halifax is one of Germany's most prolific Welsh Section B stallions with at least 22 approved sons (including 9 Champion & Reserve Champion Stallions) and at least 16 State Premium daughters and he has had a huge influence on German Riding Pony breeding. An Elite Weser-Ems stallion, he passed his performance test in 1999 scoring 9 for handling, ability to perform and jumping ability and his rideability, trot and canter were all rewarded with 8s.

Halifax was the Section B Champion Stallion at the 2003 Weser-Ems-Stallion show and declared Premium stallion in 2004. Halifax has sired successful jumping & dressage ponies.  The jumping ponies include 2014 Bundeschampion High Noon 48, 2009 Bundeschampion Haribo; 2005 Vice Bundeschampion Hollywood, international pony Hightrick plus international dressage pony, Harry Potter.

Halifax's sire, Hasko was a successful driving pony who also sired 6 other licensed stallions including the 2007 Bundeschampion (jumping) Handsome Boy WE.  His Elite Head Studbook dam, Steehorst Love Bird also produced another approved stallion and a State Premium mare as well as being Champion at many breed shows.

Magic Moments, who was a premium foal and received a Gold Medal as 4 year old, was primarily a ridden pony and only had 5 foals in total. Two of her colts are successful in France, one as jumping pony and the younger one as breeding stallion & dressage/jumping Pony. Her only daughter, That's My Love, is a State Premium Mare who did well in her ridden performance test and also won her class at the Weser-Ems Elite Mare Show in 2008.   Magic Moment's dam, Nuja is the full sister of the approved stallion Nurejew who was Vice Bundeschampion in 1997 and then won Team Bronze at the Pony European Dressage Championships in 1998 & 2001 and Team Silver in 2000.

Marsvogel xx was one of the most influential Thoroughbred stallions in German Riding Pony breeding. He has sired Licensing Champions and lots of successful Sport ponies including the 1997 Bundeschampion (jumping) Maiblume. He is also the damsire of the 2005 Bundeschampion (Dressage) Nip Tuck, licensed stallions Debussy AT, Destino, Don Joshi II & Don Joshi AT who was Bundeschampion in 2002 then won Team Bronze at the 2007 Pony European Dressage Championships.

Platinum Honey’s Hope (Harry) was licensed by the Verband der Pony und Kleinpferdezüchter Hannover at their October 2012 Körung, with excellent X rays, before moving to the UK in 2013. He was presented at the September 2013 WBS-UK stallion grading where he was also licensed and then accepted as an SPSS stallion.

Harry spent 2014 being produced slowly and correctly both in hand and ridden by dressage trainer Bruce King. Harry attended a couple of competitions that year to show him the sights, before affiliating him, and he won or was placed at over 73% each time and was already schooling all of the FEI movements at home. In May 2016, Harry and Bruce were second in the Young Pony 6 Year Old Qualifier at Addington.

In October 2016, Harry moved to Devon where International GB pony rider Holly Kerslake picked up the reins. Through the Winter months they focused on training and forming a partnership with a view to starting their competition career in 2017. “Harry is a fantastic pony who is very trainable and really enjoys his work, I’m really looking forwarded to 2017 and can’t thank Louise enough to for this amazing opportunity” says Holly.

In 2017, Holly & Harry's BD record was impressive, showing 6 outings, 3 at Elementary, 3 at Medium, all wins and fantastic scores from 71.03% to 76.21% and qualifying them for the Winter Regional Championships in 2018.

Harry then moved to be ridden by Ella Glennon, (who was just 11 years old in 2019) and they competed successfully at Elementary and Medium level in 2019, qualifying for the Area Festival at Bicton Arena where they were 3rd (Elementary) and 6th (Medium) so qualifying for an Area Festival Final at both levels.  At their Area Festival Final, they were 6th (Elementary) & 7th (Medium).  Then in November 2019, they were 3rd in the Pony Team test at the Bury Farm High Performance Show and won the Pony Individual Test.

In 2020 & 2021, Ella campaigned Harry at the High Performance and Premier League shows, as well as the BD Youth Home International and 2020 Under 21 Championships.

Offspring/Breeding Advice

Harry is a fabulous athletic modern pony stallion, with a magnificent walk, powerful and elevated trot and an exceptional canter.

He has a really sensible temperament, coupled with amazing trainability, which is so important for producing children's ponies and sport horses.

Harry is extremely willing to learn and also has great jumping ability.  All of these factors combine to make him a suitable breeding stallion for all three disciplines.

His first foal in the UK secured a First Premium at the BEF Futurity in 2014 and has his wonderful, unflappable temperament.
