In January 2017, Jason passed his preliminary KNN grading in Denmark with superb marks, and was awarded Best in Show. He was expertly presented by his breeder Laura Norgaard Anderson, who also won best handler on the day. He then moved to the UK and spent the following two years at Trinityhouse Spotties producing superb quality foals from a variety of mares from 12.2-15.2hh. In January 2020 he travelled back over to Denmark to be prepared for stallion grading at the beginning of April. Covid-19 postponed the grading and extended his stay, but he is now fully graded and has passed his performance test, obtaining a huge 878.57 points out of a possible 1000, after being beautifully prepared and presented by Pernille Nørgaard. Jason's score is one of the highest ever for a KNN stallion - and the highest over all the UK based KNN stallions. Of special note within his marks are a 9 for his trot and 8.5 & 9 for his jumping technique. He showed tenacity completing his endurance test outdoors despite heavy rain throughout and gaining straight 10s for all his temperament scores. |

Offspring/Breeding Advice | |
Jason has a fabulous temperament – he lives on a working family farm, and all the ponies are stabled in the same block, so everything goes past Jason’s window.
He has produced three foal crops so far from a range of pony and small horse mares, which consistently have great conformation and excellent movement, as well as super temperaments. All those that have been presented to the KNN for evaluation have obtained premiums with overall scores of 8s and 9s with excellent remarks from the judges.
Jason also enjoyed some time at Stud while he was in Denmark for his grading and performance test in 2020 and had semen frozen while he was there. So his foals are eagerly anticipated in both the UK and Denmark |

As a Homozygous Bay Fewspot (AA, EE, LPLP, PATN1patn1), Jason has produced a wide range of coat patterns as the extent of spotting can be affected by numerous factors. Foals that appear solid at birth can ‘colour out’ as they mature. Jason is guaranteed to throw some type of spotting pattern from minimally marked, up through blanket to full leopard.
He will always pass on Lp, the spotted gene, but it depends what extent of ‘pattern’ is also inherited, and the mare, as well as Jason, can affect that. He has been tested and is not a carrier of WFFS, PSSM1 nor the grey colour gene.
