Combining some of the same names as Black Pear SH, 1st reserve for the German Pony Jumping for the Europeans and also TLH CHINOISERIE being produced with Pony FEI in mind.
Competing in BS, BD & training BE he really does continue to prove himself as a Dual purpose young riders competition & breeding Stallion to the top level.

He combines uphill movement with plenty of elasticity and correct conformation with outstanding generous temperament, intelligence & trainability. Breeders are choosing HIlkens Charismatic for variety of mares to breed potential FEI ponies in all disciplines or small horses with warmblood qualities and movement, ideal for the smaller rider.
Charismatic, in limited outings and always ridden & trained by young riders, has competed successfully in BD youth. His wins include: Badminton Dressage Champion, Novice Home International Champion, Under 25 Sheepgate Freestyle Challenge Champion, Petplan Equine Finalist and Novice winner as well as representing Wales In Dressage.
Since joining Blaenllain & Olympus Stud, he has turned his career towards showjumping competing BS as well as BD & training BE. His debut season in 2023 with his 14 year old rider Petrina Evans Jones, showed his exceptional ability jumping. Although limited in his outings & training, he showed impressive technique, cleverness, a good brain, ability & scope with a strong desire to leave the fences up.
Day to day, he’s done by a teenager, he’s reliable, easy and happily combines his stud duties, as well as being a competition pony he’s ridden as a general all rounder & hack by his young rider. He combines the most important qualities needed in breeding Sports Ponies of the highest level.

Sire: Joldis Charmant is a superb pony with fantastic proven bloodlines with his sire being the World wide know FS Champion de Luxe. Charismatic is from the first crop of Joldis Charmant foals.
Joldis Charmant took Reserve Champion of the Hanoverian Pony Licensing 2005. Charmant completed his Stallion Performance Test with an impressive final score of 8.33, won and been placed in young horse conformation classes under saddle with and without jumping in Germany.
Joldis Charmant is half Brother to FS Golden Highlight (FS Golden Moonlight x Power Boy)
Sire's Sire is Champion de Luxe, the outstanding and world wide known German Riding Pony. Champion de Luxe is a double Bundeschampion and champion of his stallion performance test.
Dam: State Prermium mare Shakyrah (competition name Hilkens Shakyrah), is a ¾ sister to Hilkens Black Delight. She was Weser-Ems Champion Mare in 2005, as well as champion of the three year olds at the Bundes Mare Show in Warendorf in 2005. Two of her sisters, St.Pr.St Syrah and St.Pr.St Sophie were also the Weser-Ems Champion mares of their year (2001 and 2002 respectively). Syrah qualified for the Bundeschampionate in Warendorf as a 3, 4, and 6 year old, and was reserve champion of her mares performance test. Sophie won her mares performance test and placed 4th in the finals of the Bundeschampionate.
The damline is packed with International names, including Branduardi M & Black Boy. A close relative to Hilkens Charismatic is FEI pony Hilkens Crowns Prince who is out of Charismatic's dam and by his sire's sire (FS Champion de Luxe)
Damsire: Branduardi M was Weser-Ems licensing Champion, Performance test Champion, Reserve Bundeschampion in 1999 and 2nd Reserve in 2000. He was a successful FEI dressage pony and was a member of the Swiss team. He is the sire of Shakyrah’s ¾ brother ‘Hilkens Black Delight’ who was licensing champion, performance test champion, a successful dressage pony, and renowned sire. |

Hilkens Charismatic was graded in Germany and was awarded Premium status with the Hannover Pony Verband. He achieved excellent marks for both his movement and jumping ability.
Charismatic was produced under saddle and showed great promise, with an excellent work ethic, good character and super train-ability. He has a naturally active engaged hind leg & expressive uphill movement. He also showed great scope and technique over fences.
Charismatic, in limited outings and always ridden & trained by young riders, has competed successfully in BD youth. 2015 was his first year competing. He won several championships locally, represented his Riding Club at the Badminton Championships where he was individual Champion & BYRDS Wales at the Inter-Regional Championships winning his first class with 90%. He did 6 BD tests, winning or placing every time with scores up to 85% & qualified for the 2016 Petplan Championships.
In 2016 he represented Wales at the Home Internationals and was Individual Novice Champion then at the 2016 BYRDS Championships he won both Team and Individual Championships. In 2017, he moved up to Elementary level, winning 4 classes showing his wonderful temperament and behaving impeccably.
In 2019, with a different rider, he won 4 Novice classes then moved back to Elementary where he also won 4 classes before winning the Wellington Novice (Silver) Area Festival in May and the Parwood Equestrian Centre Novice (U21)Area Festival Final in October - both times scoring over 70%.

Charismatic has proved himself as a successful competition horse as well as the sire of dual purpose stock that have gone on successfully in various disciplines. With the temperament and trainability to have been ridden and produced by junior / youth riders, he proved himself to be reliable and willing, passing all his excellent qualities making him an ideal choice for breeding children’s ponies. |

Progeny
Previous to joining Blaenllain & Olympus Stud, Hilkens Charismatic was one of the main resident stallions at the well known “The Long House Stud”, breeders of sports ponies. Charismatic complimented the breeding programme of top quality Dressage & competition ponies. Put over Welsh Sec B mares, the offspring oozed Warmblood movement & temperaments with the pony character and intelligence.
Some of the young dressage ponies include TLH CHRISTIAN TLH CHINOISERIE winner of the Wellington Qualifier for 6Yo Young Pony Championship, Hartpury 2024 TLH LUCKY CHARM Premium mare TLH CHOSEN TLH CHARLOTTE TLH CAMILLE TLH CHERUB, owned by Blaenllain & Olympus Stud and currently been started under saddle. Eventing, Showjumping, Dressage, WHP, SHP and quality all rounder in mind. With the ability of being discipline specific to a high level.
Some of these ponies are being produced, ready for children to enjoy up to the highest level. The Long House Stud has also retained a select group of dressage pony broodmares sired by Hilkens Charismatic to continue their breeding programme of Dressage & competition ponies.
Of his older progeny, Delaroche Charming, a 2014 foal, was 6th in the Prelim class at Prestige Equestrian LLP Winter Area Festival in 2021 and a 2015 filly, Cambourne Charisma, started her British Eventing career in 2021 at BE90 with 2 wins, both times on her dressage score, finished 8th at the Chillington Hall Area Festival then won at BE90 at her first BE event with a new rider. |
