Sire:

Man Among Men was an Irish-bred Thoroughbred who only raced (National Hunt) a few times but has sired winners on the Flat and Point to Point. Man Among Men’s sire is Sadler’s Wells who is considered to have been a top class middle distance runner and an exceptional sire; 10 of his flat progeny have each won over £1M and his progeny have won a total of 131 Group 1 flat races including the Ascot Gold Cup & Irish St Leger. His dam, Tifrums, has also bred Flat winners, including in Stakes Races.

Dam:

Silverlea Highstar II is a New Forest pony who was a successful competition pony herself, competing at Open Pony Club level including at the Open Tetrathlon Championships, despite being only 13.2hh.

Damsire:

Silverlea Spotlight is a versatile New Forest pony sire whose progeny have competed in affiliated Show Jumping, Eventing & Endurance competitions in the UK as well as showing. He also has progeny all over the world, including Canada, France & Sweden, with Silverlea Uncle Sam show jumping internationally for Belgium.

Performance

As a four year old, having placed 1st, 3rd and 4th in the qualifiers, “Louie” competed at the British Eventing 4 year old Championships. He then had a quiet couple of seasons eventing due to his owner’s work commitments before, in 2014, achieving top 8 finishes at both BE90 and BE100.

Louie has also competed at Novice & Elementary dressage with qualifying scores at both levels.

Louie has an extremely trainable attitude and loves to work.

Offspring/Breeding Advice

Louie has a fantastic temperament, as commented on at his grading, which he passes onto his progeny plus good conformation, movement and jumping technique. He is loved by dressage judges and combined with his good technique and bold jump, this makes him a fantastic sire to produce small eventing/competition horses or quality competition ponies.

He has a small selection of progeny and they all appear to have inherited his fantastic temperament and good movement with all showing great potential for competition, especially eventing and/or dressage.
