Sire:

With his proven German Riding Pony heritage, SPSS graded Bathleyhills Monet is a modern sports pony sire who is also registered PB Arab (26.98%) and PB Welsh (20.3125%). Reserve Champion at his SPSS Grading as a 2 year old, Monet was awarded an Oldenburg Society Foal Premium then, as a Yearling, he gained Elite Status & was Top Yearling Pony in the BEF Futurity. His sire, Casino Royale K was Champion Stallion at his Licensing & double Bundeschampion. His dam, Mona, was a Premium graded Westfalen mare awarded Silver Medals in 1992/93. She produced at least 3 licensed stallions, including a Licensing Champion, before import to the UK. Mona was awarded the “Leading Sports Pony Dam” Certificate of Merit by the BEF in 2010.

Astonend Loco Lady is a BSPA passported daughter of the German Riding Pony mare, Disco Lady - herself a daughter of the legendary dressage pony Dornik B who was acclaimed on his death as the most successful pony in the world in dressage sport and breeding. He was the first pony to win four consecutive Bundeschampion titles then won Individual Gold at the 2000 & 2001 Pony Euros; Team Gold and Individual Bronze in 2002; Team Gold in 2005; Team Gold & Individual Silver in 2006; Double (ie Team & Individual) Gold in 2007 and finally Team Gold & Individual Silver in 2008 (aged 17). After his retirement from international sport he cometed at local shows as a schoolmaster for his breeder's granddaughter when he was 20! He has left an amazing legacy - being thought to be the most important pony producer of his time, ahead even of Dressman. With nearly 40 licensed sons, and more that 40 Stale Premium daughters in Germany, his direct offspring have won both team and individual medals as international FEI dressage ponies and include the famous names of Danilo, Deinhard B, Derano B and many many others.

Damsire:

Copilot is a KWPN passported black tobiano stallion who is a grandson of the famous KWPN coloured stallion Samber through his KWPN dam while his sire K3 (K3 Noir) is a German Trakehner.

Performance

A double SPSS Gold Premium winner as a yearling and two year old (when he was the Top Colt and Top 2 year old overall) who then successfully passed his SPSS grading as a 3 year old in 2018 then was Champion at his BSPA Grading.

Popenhoe Picture Perfect is also a prolific winner in hand in Coloured and Sports Pony classes both at County and National level.

He started competing at affiliated dressage in late 2019 when he qualified for the Prelim Area Festival in only a handful of outings. Then in 2020, he qualified for the Shearwater Young Dressage Pony Finals, one of only 6 to do so in his age group.

Offspring/Breeding Advice

Popenhoe Picture Perfect carries 16.04% Arab blood and is also registered as a part-bred Arab.

His movement is full of cadence and activity and he has endless scope and power over a fence. His temperament is second to none and his is a super chap to have on the yard.

2019 was Popenhoe Picture Perfect's first year at stud and his first foals were born in 2020.
