Competing with 10 year old Joe Whitaker in 2007

Littledale Bright Star is a son of the famous Catherston Nightsafe out of a Part Bred Welsh mare. Known as "Titch", he is a very impressive pony with lots of character and is a worthy replacement for his famous father.  His ground covering strides and powerful jump make him a serious prospect for the breeders of both horses and ponies to consider when trying to produce a smaller animal without sacrificing movement and performance.

Like both his sire & dam, Titch has the temperament to be ridden by a child. He was lightly show jumped by 10 year old James Whitaker and ridden, jumped, vaulted on by Charlotte Dicker since she was 6 years old. Charlotte rode him at the Addington & Hartpury Stallion Viewing Days.

Titch was awarded the prestigious SPSS ELITE status in October 2015 after his son. Catherston Bit of Gold, competed at the Keysoe CSI 2*.  Then, at the 2017 British-bred Sport Horse Parade, Littledale Bright Star collected both the Competition Stallions Award for the Top British-based Pony Sire of Sports Ponies in the 2016 Futurity AND the SPSS Dancer Medal!  The Dancer Medal was awarded in recognition of his being the FIRST SPSS passported pony to have progeny competing Internationally in all 3 disciplines: Dressage, Eventing and Show Jumping

Titch hasn’t competed much but his wonderful temperament has enabled him to do a variety of disciplines including jumping, driving and vaulting. He has a wonderful jump and whenever the horses are being loose jumped he joins in too, at the same sizes and distances! He has wonderful floating movement with tremendous ground cover, very quick and agile with an abundance of presence. He has been described as “a supremely talented horse in a ponies’ body”.

Titch is by the same sire as the notable German sports pony stallion Chantre B who has sired many State Premium daughters and Bundesstuten Champions.

He has sired winners in jumping, dressage and eventing and was awarded the All Years Sire of Sports Ponies merit by the BEF in 2009, 2016 SPSS Dancer Medal & 2017 Pony Performance & Breeding Award.
