Dam:

Abbeywoods Aphrodite was born in 2011 and is a 14.2hh sports pony mare by Commanche Ace (traditional type coloured) out of Windy City E (Mecklenberg). Aphrodite has won show classes from being a foal and has numerous Champion and Reserve Champion titles and she was graded by CHAPS as a Star Status Mare in 2015.  She is also the dam of SPSS graded Abbeywoods Under Pressure.

Aphrodite's dam, Windy City E, is a 15hh small sports horse who has also had a successful career showing, with many wins and Champion/Reserve titles to her name.  Windy City E is out of Peppermint Petty, a Pinto with a Polish Warmblood sire & dam, who is also the dam of the graded stallion Dux Donal.  Windy City E's sire, Wind Dancer, is a licensed stallion with 5 German studbooks (including Oldenburg and Hanoverian), who has sired 9 licensed sons and 19 graded daughters as well as many offspring who are competing successfully and over all they have won more than Euros 35K in dressage and more than 18K jumping.  Wind Dancer's sire, Weltruhm, is by the famous dressage stallion Weltmeyer and his damsire is the famous showjumping sire Argentan I whose offspring includes Aramis (who  competed at Olympic/World Championships level) and his most famous son, the prolific jumping sire Argentinus, whose offspring include Arko III (ridden by Nick Skelton at the Olympics and European Championships), All Star 5, Thunder van de Zuuthoeve, and Adlantus.

Damsire:

Comanche Ace was born in 1991 and, sadly, his parentage was not recorded.  At 13.2hh, he was one of the very first traditional ponies to win prolifically in the show ring and he is the only traditional stallion to be awarded Elite status with both CHAPS UK and the BSPA. He was invited and took part in the 2012 Queens Golden Jubilee Tribute at Royal Windsor.

Performance

Abbeywoods Veyron is a very nice sports pony prospect who excels in his jumping which was noted at his SPSS grading in 2021 when he got a 9 for Loose Jumping (attitude), which covers the use of brain between jumps, assessing and preparing himself.  The judge said he had a "good attitude, thinking by himself and positive".  He got an 8 for his other loose jumping mark (ability & technique) and the judge said he was "elastic and supple".  His trot also gained a high score (8.5) with the judge saying it was "loose and elastic" with "good hock activity and shoulder freedom".  His flatwork was also awarded with an 8 with the judge saying that he showed "lots of potential for a green pony under saddle".
